Emotional abuse can come in many different forms. It can be defined as being deliberately treated unjustly, by one person or a group of people, consistently over time. Emotional abuse can appear in many different types of relationships, whether it’s in your relationship with your spouse, friend, or a co-worker. Emotional abusers are often unpredictable, manipulative, and are motivated by getting power and control, and these behaviors can cause intense pain for the victim.
